What is
ABA
Therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically proven, goal-oriented therapy that helps children develop essential life skills by breaking complex tasks into smaller, manageable steps. ABA focuses on encouraging positive behaviors and reducing challenging ones through reinforcement.

ABA therapy for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) supports children in areas such as communication, social interactions, and daily routines. This approach is highly adaptable, allowing therapists to customize strategies based on each child’s unique needs.

By engaging caregivers in the process, ABA programs promote consistent learning across home, school, center, and community environments.

Who Do We Serve

NeuroLink Academy proudly provides services under Minnesota’s Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention (EIDBI) benefit. This program is designed to support children under 21 (NeuroLink Academy serves ages 2-10) with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or related conditions. Through EIDBI, we offer individualized ABA therapy to help children build essential skills, foster independence, and improve their quality of life.

Our services include in-home, community-based, and center-based therapy, allowing families in the Minneapolis area to access flexible care tailored to their child’s unique needs. Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible for services at NeuroLink Academy? +
NeuroLink Academy provides services for children ages 2–10 diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or related developmental conditions. We currently serve families in Minnesota and accept children covered by Medicaid and EIDBI services through the Minnesota Department of Human Services. We anticipate accepting commercial insurance plans in the near future.
How many hours of ABA therapy does my child receive per week? +
The number of ABA therapy hours per week varies based on each child’s individual needs and treatment plan. Most children receive between 10 and 40 hours of ABA therapy per week. Younger children or those requiring more intensive support may participate in full-time programs (30–40 hours per week), while other children may benefit from part-time services ranging from 10–20 hours per week.
How is progress measured and how will I be informed? +
Progress is measured through ongoing data collection during every therapy session using Passage Health, our secure clinical data platform. Progress is reviewed monthly, and treatment goals are adjusted as needed to reflect your child’s development. Parents and caregivers receive secure portal access to view session notes, progress updates, and reports at any time. In addition, regular check-ins with our clinical team ensure families stay informed and involved throughout the therapy process.
Who provides therapy services at NeuroLink Academy? +
Therapy services at NeuroLink Academy are provided by a team of highly trained professionals, including Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). BCBAs oversee assessments and develop, manage, and supervise individualized treatment plans, while RBTs work one-on-one with children to deliver direct ABA therapy under the supervision of a BCBA.
Does NeuroLink Academy work with insurance providers? +
Yes. NeuroLink Academy currently accepts Minnesota Medicaid for services provided under the EIDBI benefit. We are actively working to expand our insurance coverage and will be accepting commercial insurance plans soon. If you have questions about eligibility or coverage under Medicaid, our team is happy to help guide you through the process.
Do you offer family and caregiver training? +
Yes. Family involvement is essential to a child’s success. NeuroLink Academy provides caregiver and parent training to help families understand and apply ABA therapy strategies at home and in everyday routines. By empowering caregivers with practical tools and ongoing support, we help reinforce skill development, promote consistency, and support meaningful progress beyond therapy sessions.
What makes early intervention important? +
Early intervention is critical for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Receiving support during key developmental stages helps build essential communication, social, and independence skills. Research shows that early, evidence-based intervention—such as ABA therapy—can significantly improve long-term outcomes, including increased independence, learning readiness, and overall quality of life.
What services are included under the EIDBI benefit? +
The EIDBI benefit includes comprehensive evaluations, individualized treatment planning, ABA therapy, and caregiver training, all tailored to your child’s unique strengths, goals, and developmental needs. This person-centered approach ensures services are customized to support meaningful progress across communication, behavior, and daily living skills.
