Our ABA Therapy Services

Neurolink Academy provides BCBA-led ABA therapy services in Minnesota for autistic children ages 2 to 10. Every program is individualized, family-centered, and delivered at our Brooklyn Park clinic.

Key takeaways

  • We provide BCBA-led ABA therapy for children ages 2 to 10, center-based at our Brooklyn Park clinic.
  • EIDBI and Medical Assistance are welcome here; most EIDBI families pay nothing out of pocket.
  • For Medical Assistance families, a CMDE evaluation comes before EIDBI-funded therapy. We guide you through it.
  • Intake is the same starting point for every service, whether or not your child has a diagnosis yet.

One child, one plan: how every program is built

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) teaches communication, play, daily living, and learning skills by breaking them into clear, learnable steps. At Neurolink Academy, every program starts with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and stays under their supervision from the first assessment to the last session.

We are autism-affirming and strengths-based. That means we build on what your child can already do, respect how they communicate today, and work alongside your family rather than around it. Goals come from your priorities: more words, easier mornings, safer mealtimes, readiness for school. You can read more about who we are and how we work.

Therapy intensity is matched to your child. Most children attend 20 to 40 hours per week, set by their Individual Treatment Plan (ITP) and their EIDBI authorization. Progress is measured in data you can see, reviewed with you regularly.

  1. Assessment

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) meets your child and your family, observes how your child plays and communicates, and listens to what matters most to you.

  2. Individual Treatment Plan

Your BCBA writes an Individual Treatment Plan (ITP): specific, measurable goals built around your child’s strengths, needs, and your family’s priorities.

  3. Sessions and ongoing review

Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) deliver daily sessions under BCBA supervision. Progress data is reviewed every week, and the plan grows with your child.

Ways we support your family

Our own service is BCBA-led ABA therapy. Speech and occupational therapy are available on-site through our therapy partner, and the CMDE is a guide to the evaluation that unlocks EIDBI funding. They work together, and intake is the same starting point for all of them.

Center-Based ABA Therapy

Every session happens at our Brooklyn Park clinic: dedicated therapy spaces, a consistent team, peer interaction, and a predictable routine your child can rely on. Transportation partners help families across the Twin Cities reach our center.

EIDBI Services

EIDBI (Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention) is the Minnesota Medicaid benefit that funds intensive therapy for qualifying children. We are a DHS-enrolled EIDBI provider, and Medical Assistance is welcome here.

Early Intervention

Play-based therapy that builds communication, play, and daily living skills during the years when young brains learn fastest, with parents coached as partners at every step.

Speech & Occupational Therapy

Some children need more than ABA. We bring speech-language therapy and occupational therapy into our center through a contracted therapy partner, coordinated with your child's ABA team. These are delivered by the partner agency, not by Neurolink staff.

The CMDE: the evaluation that comes first

Before EIDBI services can begin, Minnesota requires a Comprehensive Multi-Disciplinary Evaluation (CMDE). We do not perform the CMDE ourselves, but our guide explains what it is, who performs it, and how to get one.

Still unsure? That is normal, and it is exactly what intake is for. Talk to us and we will map the right path together.

Conditions we serve

Our programs are built for children ages 2 to 10 with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). We also support children with related developmental conditions when a qualified provider refers them and an evaluation shows that intensive behavioral therapy is medically necessary.

If you are not sure whether your child's diagnosis qualifies, ask us. Eligibility for EIDBI-funded therapy is determined by the CMDE evaluation, not by a list on a website, and we are glad to help you understand where your child stands.

Where we serve

All therapy happens at our clinic in Brooklyn Park, in the northwest Twin Cities metro. Families come to us from Brooklyn Center, Maple Grove, Crystal, New Hope, Coon Rapids, Robbinsdale, Minneapolis, and beyond; transportation partners help children across the metro attend consistently.

Wondering whether the drive works for your family? Find your city on our Twin Cities locations pages, see how center access and transportation work, or tell us where you live during intake and we will walk through the options.

Not sure which service fits? Start with intake.

You do not need to choose a program before contacting us, and you do not need a completed evaluation to ask questions. Our intake team looks at your child’s age, diagnosis status, and coverage, then walks you through the right next step. For most Medical Assistance families, that path is EIDBI: a CMDE establishes eligibility, your BCBA writes the treatment plan, and sessions begin at our clinic.

We verify insurance on our end, explain every step in plain language, and answer within one business day.

Common questions about our services

Quick answers about ages, hours, payment, and setting. Anything else, just ask.

We serve children ages 2 to 10 with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). We also support children with related developmental conditions when a qualified provider refers them.

Intensive ABA therapy is typically 20 to 40 hours per week. The exact schedule comes from your child’s Individual Treatment Plan (ITP) and the hours authorized under their EIDBI benefit, so it always reflects your child’s specific needs.

Most of our families use Minnesota’s EIDBI benefit, which is covered by Medical Assistance. We accept Straight MA, HealthPartners PMAP, Blue Cross Blue Shield PMAP, and MA TEFRA. Our intake team verifies your coverage for you before the first session.

Yes. All sessions take place at our Brooklyn Park clinic, where children benefit from a structured environment, a consistent team, and peer interaction. Transportation partners help families across the Twin Cities metro reach our center.

No. Many families contact us while they are still figuring things out. EIDBI-funded therapy will eventually require a diagnosis and a CMDE evaluation, but the conversation can start any time, and we help you navigate both steps.

ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) is the therapy itself: the evidence-based approach our clinicians use. EIDBI (Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention) is the Minnesota Medicaid benefit that pays for it. In short: ABA is what your child receives; EIDBI is how Medical Assistance families fund it.

You can absolutely start intake before the CMDE is done, and we recommend it. We verify coverage and prepare everything on our end while you complete the evaluation. EIDBI-funded therapy sessions themselves begin after the CMDE and authorization are in place.
